How to use a money changer safely
- Look for the "Authorized Money Changer" sign and ask for the exact rupiah amount for your sum before you hand over the notes.
- Take a receipt and count the rupiah yourself. Do not give the notes back in the middle of the count.
- Bring dollars or euros in good condition; a changer only helps if you already hold cash.
