Cardless ATM withdrawal in Thailand: SCB, Bangkok Bank, KBank, Krungthai and TTB compared (2026)

Updated: 30 October 2026

Short answer: every cardless withdrawal in Thailand starts in the app of a bank where you hold an account. You create a code or scan a QR shown on the ATM, then take the cash. Limits differ by bank: SCB allows 30,000 THB per withdrawal and 50,000 THB a day with a 15-minute code; Bangkok Bank 25,000 and 50,000; Kasikorn up to 30,000 per withdrawal and 500,000 a day, with a request valid for 24 hours; Krungthai 20,000 and 100,000 with a 15-minute code; TTB does not publish its limits. Among foreign apps, only SCB's partners Cashmallow and GLN work. Without a Thai account you can still collect cash by code: an exchange service such as OneEx sends you a code and the exact amount after your USDT or ruble transfer, usually within 5-10 minutes.

Who can use it

Each bank creates the code only for its own customer: you need an account at that bank and its app. Opening a Thai account as a foreigner depends on your visa and the branch, so for short trips this route is usually closed.

There is one exception for foreign apps. In its February 2026 announcement SCB calls itself the only Thai bank offering cardless withdrawal to foreign mobile banking apps: Cashmallow since 2023 and GLN from South Korea since 2025, at more than 9,200 SCB ATMs. That covers customers of those partner apps only, not Wise, Revolut or any foreign card.

How a cardless withdrawal works

  1. In the bank's app choose the cardless withdrawal, the account and the amount.
  2. The app gives you a code (SCB, Krungthai, TTB) or waits for you to scan a QR on the ATM screen (Bangkok Bank, Kasikorn).
  3. At the ATM press the cardless button, select the bank, then enter your phone number and the code, or scan the QR.
  4. Confirm the amount on the screen and take the cash.

Typical reasons it fails: the code expired (15 minutes at SCB and Krungthai), you are at another bank's machine that does not accept your bank, the amount is not a multiple of 100, you hit the daily limit, or the machine ran out of cash. Create a new code and try another ATM of the same bank.

Without a Thai account: a code from an exchange service

With OneEx you send USDT (TRC20, ERC20 or BEP20) or rubles, and the manager sends you a one-time code and the exact amount to withdraw at an SCB, Bangkok Bank, Kasikorn, Krungthai or TTB ATM, usually 5-10 minutes after your transfer. It works in Bangkok, Phuket, Pattaya, Koh Samui, Krabi and Chiang Mai. A large amount is paid in several withdrawals or by courier in Bangkok, Phuket and Pattaya; the manager confirms the method before you pay. For reference, 1,000 USDT ≈ 33,750 THB at the official Bank of Russia USD/THB cross rate on October 30, 2026 (a mid-market reference, not our quote). Step by step: USDT to cash in Thailand; to estimate an amount, use the USDT to THB converter.

Who this is not for

If you have a working foreign card and need a few thousand baht, a normal ATM withdrawal is simpler and usually cheaper, even with the 250-350 THB fee. An exchange service makes sense when you hold USDT, need a larger sum (from about 500 USDT) or have no working card, for example after Wise's 2026 changes for Thai-registered accounts. More options: how to get cash in Thailand without a card and Thailand ATM fees for foreign cards.

FAQ

Can a foreigner use cardless ATM withdrawal in Thailand?

Only with an account at a Thai bank and that bank's app, or with one of the foreign apps SCB has partnered with (Cashmallow since 2023, GLN from South Korea since 2025). A foreign card from Wise, Revolut or a home bank does not give you a cardless code. Without a Thai account, an exchange service can send you a code for its own account after you pay it.

Which Thai bank has the highest cardless limit?

Kasikornbank: up to 30,000 THB per withdrawal (depending on the K-ATM type) and up to 500,000 THB a day through K PLUS. SCB allows 30,000 THB per withdrawal and 50,000 THB a day, Bangkok Bank 25,000 and 50,000, Krungthai 20,000 and 100,000. TTB does not publish its limits.

How long is a cardless ATM code valid in Thailand?

SCB and Krungthai codes are valid for 15 minutes. A Kasikorn K PLUS request can be used at any K-ATM within 24 hours. An older Bangkok Bank page gives 60 minutes to scan the QR at the ATM; check in the app. TTB does not publish a time.

Can I withdraw without a card at another bank's ATM?

Sometimes. SCB customers can use Kasikorn and Bangkok Bank ATMs, Bangkok Bank works with Krungthai, SCB, Kasikorn and GSB machines, and TTB codes work at SCB ATMs. The other bank's limits and fees apply, for example 10 THB per interbank withdrawal at Bangkok Bank.

Is there a fee for cardless withdrawal in Thailand?

Not at your own bank's ATMs for SCB, Bangkok Bank and Kasikorn debit accounts. Withdrawals at another bank's machine can cost a small fee (10 THB at Bangkok Bank), and withdrawing from a credit card is a cash advance with interest. This is much cheaper than the 250-350 THB a Thai ATM charges a foreign card.
